I posted about this a few weeks ago.

I've gone back and have been reading letters and other things I have written over the past few years. I just came across this, written on Dec. 20, 2007- I was seeing James and dealing with Jack. "After being told I was worthless for 19 years, I still struggle to feel worth anything. I feel like I matter to my husband and actually I feel important to Heavenly Father, but I do not feel important to myself." Ever since MacKenzie shared the song "Hey Little Girl" with me, I have been obsessed with it, in a good way. I keep flashing back to dealing with Jack and the way I felt and how much this songs goes with that.

Hey Little Girl, Kate Hurley
See a little girl in the back of my mind two daisies in her hair,
she's looking to the sky, she is looking to the sky
She's sitting on the stairs of the two story house
and the pain that she bears
leaves no tears left to cry, leaves her no tears left to cry
Where is the reward for the one that had been torn?
Where is the treasure laid for the ones who know so much pain?

Hey little girl, let me whisper some hope
This message for you that overflows
Everything's gonna be alright, everything's gonna be alright
Hey little girl, won't you hear me say
There is love enough to cover your shame
Everything's gonna be alright, everything's gonna be alright

And that little girl, so small and so scared
Has been with so long,
I forgot that she was there, I forgot that she was there
Somehow the pain that she couldn't feel past on to me
A weight too great to bear, much too great to bear

Someone is standing near who will wash away her tears
Somday when she's been found,
she scares will become a crown

Hey little girl, let me whisper some hope
This message for you that overflows
Everything's gonna be alright, everything's gonna be alright
Hey little girl, won't you hear me say
There is love enough to cover your shame
Everything's gonna be alright, everything's gonna be alright
everything, everything, everything, everything is gonna be alright

Hey little girl, let me whisper some hope
This message for you that overflows
Everything's gonna be alright, everything's gonna be alright
Hey little girl, won't you hear me say
There is love enough to cover your shame
Everything's gonna be alright, everything's gonna be alright
