Self Care Ideas

Self Care is so important! Whether you have experienced trauma, are currently going through a tough time, or life has always been perfect, you still need self care!

So, what can you do to take care of yourself? Here are some ideas:

  1. Go for a walk
  2. Watch a funny or heart warming movie
  3. Take a bath/ foot soak
  4. Indulge in something (take yourself out to dinner, buy a new purse, buy yourself flowers)
  5. Listen to uplifting music
  6. Spend time with your pets (if you don't have any, go to an animal shelter and play with some)
  7. Read a good book/ magazine
  8. Get a manicure/ pedicure/ massage
  9. Curl up with something warm (hot chocolate, tea, soup)
  10. Go out with friends
  11. Find a lotion that's smell you find soothing and relaxing
  12. Do something creative (color, paint, draw, a craft, make jewelry)
  13. Exercise, it's not just to lose weight
  14. Light a candle, scented wax or aromatherapy
